10 things that made me happy

ok ok so i'm not doing every week. but this is better than i was before so here goes.

1. wearing my newly fixed clothes. thanks mom!

2. marie callendar helping me with the ward pie social. :)

3. cafe rio

4. seeing a movie in the theater... even if it was a dollar theater

5. finding two seats next to each other in that super crowded theater near the back so that we didn't have to get motion-sick watching it

6. kids in the primary program. i LOVE kids. so cute!

7. 'i 'obby 'obby! (repeated eternally) its my niece's version of "hi hobby lobby" that's right, she greets the store. even if we aren't going in that store... :)

8. grapefruit sherbet at baskin robbins

9. mango sherbet at baskin robbins

10. travis switched the handle in my bathroom so that we can lock it from our bedroom. handy!

its about FREAKING time!

so.... i realize i haven't posted for nearly 2 years...

you are just going to have to deal with that because i'm not backlogging anything. sorry.
however i have a friend (mindy's cousin ashlee green, yeah just like the movie star) :) who does 10 things that make her happy each week. my goal is to do the same hopefully it will help me blog more and feel less intimidated about doing witty posts to rival jenny's. i have come to terms with that i am just not that witty. :)

don't get confused

so i have this client, right? and she has some medical issues, seizures among them.

so she told me the other day that after she has them, medical personnel will ask her questions to make sure she is not confused, cuz that happens.

so they usually ask questions like, "what day is it?" and "do you know where you are?" and " who is our current president of the united states?"

so they asked her most recently the president one. and she wanted to let them know how "with it" she was so she tried to include his middle name... and she ended up saying "osama bin laden"

... oops! she corrected herself but they were totally giving her the stink-eye after that... :)

i laughed pretty hard when she told me this story! :)

more rhubarb

i think i should get a snow blower for rhubarb (one of my clients who i pick up and drop off every monday. she only lives MAYBE 100 feet from my salon. but its on a hill and she doesn't see).. so yesterday i went to pick her up. her son comes on saturdays and helps her w/all her stuff including shoveling her walk. she lives in a house that has an upstairs apartment and a downstairs apartment (main floor) she lives downstairs and the couple who USED TO live upstairs would help w/the walk if it snowed in between saturdays. but they moved and it was clear saturday, but snowed sunday night and monday morning.... so when i went to get her i had to walk in 6 inches of snow. and i did NOT wear the right shoes for it. so i ended up shoveling maybe 30 feet of sidewalk so i wasn't soaked and she wouldn't fall!
if i can figure out how to get some pictures from my phone to my blog i will post them...
